The 7 Hills Art Club is open to all adult artists who work independently in any medium and anyone with an interest in art. Members have varying degrees of art training and skill. The purpose of the club is to promote and share an interest in the visual arts by having regularly scheduled meetings.
Regular meetings are held on the first Friday of the month. We begin at 9:30 AM with refreshments and time to visit with fellow club members and guests.. After a brief business meeting, a program is presented. This may include a talk by a club member who is asked tell us about their beginnings in art and to show their art work. A guest artist or a club member is often invited to present a critique of member artwork or an art demonstration.
We meet in room 304 on the third floor of the Lynchburg Parks and Recreation Department's Miller Center located at 301 Grove Street, Lynchburg, VA. Parking is available on Grove Street and in back of the Miller Center off Wadsworth Street. Our meeting may be cancelled due to weather if Lynchburg City Schools are closed.

An annual membership fee is collected which helps cover the cost of club expenses such as administrative fees, publicity and the website. The club offers members an opportunity to exhibit their work at local venues and art shows. Members are encouraged to bring their current work to place on display at each meeting. An open art studio is available each Friday from 8:30 AM until noon at no charge to members.

We often schedule a day trip during the year. Some of our past field trips include: the Taubman Museum,
P. Buckley Moss Museum, and visits to galleries in Altavista, Staunton, Roanoke, Farmville, Charlottesville, Richmond, Lexington, Martinsville in Virginia, plus Washington, D. C. and Winston-Salem, NC. We have so much fun we try to schedule two trips a year.
