About The Club
The Seven Hills Art Club was established in 1981, and operates under a formal Constitution and By-Laws. It is co-sponsored by the Lynchburg Parks & Recreation Department.

The club is open to all adult artists and photographers able to work without instruction. The club charges an annual membership fee of $25.00

The club offers members the opportunity to socialize at a central meeting place with people who have similar interests, and encourages members to bring their current work to meetings. During the past 2 years we have taken a tour of 2 of our local colleges, sitting in on an Art History class and visiting and admiring the galleries at each school.  We look forward to continuing that opportunity each year.

Present members include retirees, homemakers, working and professional people, and adult students. Our members have a variety of interests and background and varying degrees of art training and skill.

Business meetings are held on the first Friday of the month from September to May. Meetings begin at 10:00 a.m.

Sometimes instead of a business meeting we take a field trip.  Some of our past trips include:  A Trip to the Taubman Museum, Sweet Briar College, Lynchburg College, P. Buckley Moss Museum tour and lunch out, A trip to Staunton, VA.  We have so much fun on our field trips.

We also have a continual art show on the upper level of  the Lynchburg Park & Recreation Center, Miller Park Location.  We rotate our art about every 2 months.

Recently we were contacted by Community Market in Lynchburg to have an on-going show of our members artwork. This is such a great opportunity for our members and we are very grateful to the Community Market for asking us.  Another great reason to join the club!  So, starting in mid March, look for us at Community Market, Main Street, Lynchburg, VA.

After the business meeting is completed, a guest artist may present a program. The meetings and programs are over at about 12:00 noon. Refreshments are served. Unless otherwise scheduled, meetings are held at the Lynchburg Parks and Recreation building located at 301 Grove Street. Notices of club meetings appear in the Art News section of the Thursday edition of The News & Advance.
