Janet Yeatts
Janet was born 7-22-1933 and was a graduate of Brookville High School in 1951. In 1952 she wed Boyed H. Burnley. They had three children. She wed Clarence C. Yeatts in 2010. Janet is a self taught artist who enjoys oil, acrylic, watercolor and pastels. The first painting she sold was a watercolor that made it to the judges fence at the 2012 Amherst Art Show. All paintings she has sold were commissioned. She is the author of three books. She hosted three army reunions, 45th Infantry, 279th Regiment. She helped Boyed Burnley with his history book by doing the artwork. She was the president of the American Legion Auxiliary in 1995, Lady of the Year in 2001, Americanism Chairman for 13 yrs. Unit 16 Lynchburg, Americanism Vice Chairman Dept of Va. 2006. Auxiliary Unit 16 was awarded three silver trophys while she was chairman. She was proud to take them away from the coast and northern Va. She traveled 22 states in 2007 and took a cruise to Alaska in 2008. She has been to Hawaii six times. She is the full-time caregiver to four family members plus her regular jobs. She has been a busy lady.
